Who am I?

I'm Miles. I work full-time in finance, and I spent years watching productivity YouTube videos, bouncing between different apps and trying every productivity systems only to find myself still struggling to stick to anything.

Week after week, month after month I'd create a fresh plan and tell myself that THIS time I was actually going to follow through on it.

I'd start strong for a few days or maybe even a couple weeks.

But once that initial "high" of motivation had worn off, the procrastination and distractions gradually crept back in until eventually I was back at square one... again.

Looking back, what initially disrupted my temporary states of heightened productivity and focus would differ each time.

Sometimes all it took was one night of poor sleep or an argument with my girlfriend to throw me off.

Or something particularly interesting happening in the news that kept me glued to my phone

Or some new opportunity/random life event that happened to arise at the most inconvenient time.

Once one thing got in the way I’d just give in because I already messed up so what’s the point.

What finally fixed it all for me was recognizing that sustainable productivity isn’t achieved through copy/pasting someone else's exact routine or processes.

It’s achieved through consistently taking the important actions to progress toward meaningful goals in a way that works for you.

Once I stopped trying to copy other people’s exact processes and started shaping a system that fit around my life, my work, and my needs, everything shifted.

My days started to feel meaningful instead of rushed. I woke up with purpose and excitement.

My personal and professional lives no longer pulled me in different directions and instead supported each other.

Progress was consistent. Stress dropped. And for the first time, I felt in control of my time and my future.

The results I experienced were amazing and I felt it was my duty to help other people do the same, so that’s why I made Purposeful Productivity.
